How long is my gift certificate valid?

A gift certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Can I redeem my gift certificate for cash or obtain a refund?

No, Gift Certificates are non refundable and are non redeemable for cash.

How do I redeem my Gift Certificate?

Please contact Air Action on 1300 494 647.

What happens if I lose my Gift Certificate?

Air Action accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred by you. If you lose your voucher you can request a replacement. A $50 administration fee applies.

How far in advance do I need to book my flight?

We recommend you book as far as possible in advance if you require a specific date or location. Although we do fly 7 days a week most flying days are on the weekend and they book up very quickly.

Can you tailor make specific packages to suit individual or group needs?

I am 78 years of age, are there any age limits?

No, there is a minimum age of 16 for warbird flights and 13 for sport and vintage flights and we have flown people up to 85 years of age. Any flights undertaken are at the sole risk of the passenger. We always tailor the flight to suit the individual.

How long does the whole experience last?

Please allow approximately 3 hours for the warbird experiences; these flights include an hour's safety and flight briefing. For our sport and vintage flights allow 11/2 hours for 45 minute flights and 1 hour for 20 and 30 minute flights.

What happens if I cancel my flight?

A fee of 25% of the price of the flight will apply to all cancellations. Due to the advanced purchase, gift certificates are transferable but are non refundable and no refund will be given for a "no show" on your scheduled flight date.

Can I reschedule my date once I have booked?

Yes, call us on 1300 494 647. Please give us as much notice as possible.

What happens if bad weather prevents my flight from going ahead?

If the weather is unsuitable for flying we will contact you as early as possible in the morning (if the decision has not been made the day prior) on the day of your flight or alternatively you can call us on 1300 494 647. We will contact you on the next working day to reschedule your flight.

What should I wear for my flight?

Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes, long pants, rubber soled shoes and bring along a light jacket (heavier clothing may be need during the winter months). We supply each passenger with a soft flying helmet incorporating an electric intercom. Warbird experience passengers will be supplied with a military style flying suit and military helmet. Feel free to wear your sunglasses.

Should I eat or drink beforehand?

A normal breakfast or lunch prior to your flight is recommended. We do advise to avoid fruit juice and to keep the alcohol to a minimum the night before!

Is the safety and flight briefing compulsory?

Yes, this is an important and fun part of your experience!

Am I able to bring my friends and family along?

Yes, we actually encourage them to attend. They will be able to watch your briefing as well as your flight. Make sure they bring their cameras to photograph your experience.

Am I able to wear my glasses and contact lenses?

Yes, there are no problems wearing either during your flight. We like you to see all the action as well as feel it!

What time do I need to arrive at the airport?

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time.

I want to stay overnight in the Hunter Valley. Where can I find accommodation?

What happens if I feel sick during my flight?

We ask you to inform us if you feel at all sick during your flight. We will tailor your flight to suit you needs and are in constant contact with you during the flight. We find that very few passengers feel sick.

Will there be opportunities to get some photos during the briefing and in the aircraft?

Yes, at Cessnock and Maitland Airports you and your family are more than welcome to take pictures. As Williamtown is a domestic and military base family and friends must remain within the terminal building.

How do I organize a DVD of my flight mission?

DVD's can be booked and paid for in advance, or you can pay on the day of your flight.

How much is a DVD?

$160 for a Fighter Jet flight. $140 for a Sport/Vintage flight.

How long before I receive my DVD?

The DVD's are individually produced and professionally edited so please allow approximately 5 working days for delivery.

What happens if I am suffering from a cold , flu or sinus problems?

Please let us know in advance and we can discuss options with you, we may have to reschedule your flight. We prefer for you to thoroughly enjoy your experience!

Are there any health requirements?

You should be in generally good health. You will also need to be normally mobile and agile enough to climb up into cockpits and lift your legs and bend your knees etc. Let us know about heart disease, hypertension or diabetes just to be sure.
