Tail Wheel Endorsements
Tail wheel endorsements are also available as either a separate course or incorporated in the emergency manoeuvre training or aerobatics courses.
By gaining a tail wheel endorsement it will allow you to fly a larger variety of aircraft whilst improving pilot skill.
Tail wheel training is another Air Action speciality.
Our Tail Wheel Endorsement training is conducted in the Pitts S2A which is an advanced trainer. No prior Tail Wheel experience is necessary but gaining the qualification in the S2A will usually require more time than on simple tail wheel aeroplanes. The training course is competency based so there are no minimum hourly requirements, as soon as you meet the standard you qualify.
Having gained a Tail Wheel Endorsement in a Pitts, a pilot can expect to have much greater competence on other Tail Wheel types.
